@TristanJ,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

I would recommend upgrading the CPU in your OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-213w (Z5N88AA) to an i7-7700K. You can purchase one of them starting around $90, such as from this trusted eBay Seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/365358240054?_skw=i7-7700k&epid=28047521225&itmmeta=01JQPAF5VFAF93BYPHQYQJV....

Upgrade your graphics card -well, your GTX 1070 is a decent graphics card, and since graphics cards pricing has gone up lately, upgrading your graphics card will depend on your budget since any upgrades will easily cost you north of $300 (second hand via eBay).

Let me know what you are willing to spend.

What RAM do you have?  Do you have an SSD as your primary (boot) drive?

Kind Regards,

@TristanJ,

Here are three graphics card upgrade options, among many others, of course:

1.) A smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 3070, such as this example: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-DisplayPort-Axial-tech-Protective-Backplate/dp/B0CN72DMSL/ref=sr_1_18?cr..., you'll need to upgrade your power supply to a 750-watt unit, such as this fully modular power supply example: https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-RM750e-Modular-Low-Noise-12V-2x6/dp/B0DPR6X7JX/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1VG078....

2.) A smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4060 Ti, such as this example: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-Ventus-Graphics-NVIDIA/dp/B0C4F7KX1B/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3K7PXJVSN73R..., which can be powered by your 500-watt power supply.

3.) A smaller-sized dual fan) RTX 4070 Super, such as this model: https://www.newegg.com/msi-rtx-4070-super-12g-ventus-2x-oc-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-super-12gb-gddr6x..., you'll need to upgrade your power supply to a 750-watt unit, such as this fully modular power supply example: https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-RM750e-Modular-Low-Noise-12V-2x6/dp/B0DPR6X7JX/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1VG078....
