HP Omen 870-244
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have an HP Omen 870-244 desktop pc I bought about a year ago. After doing a couple hdd swaps and ssd upgrade I found it very troublesome to get to any of the sata ports. I've decided to move everything over into a new case. While I'm moving it all over I figured I would add some more fans to the new case. The fans I bought can be run over Molex connections but I was wondering if it would hurt to use a fan splitter cable from the motherboard fan headers. I read that I should find out the amps of the fans and fan headers first. Does anyone  know what the amps are on the fan headers of this pc?

The motherboard is the Thimphu-k.

System specs:

i7-7700

16 GB DDR4

GTX 1070

@Moonras2,

It is safer to only use 1 fan per header.  If you really need to control the fan speeds, there are fan controllers that can handle 4 or more fans.

Thank you very much, I don't think controlling the speed is a must atm, i'll see how loud they are. I also may only need 2 fans they just come in a 4 pack so I thought I'd make use of them if i could.
