About two weeks ago I recently bought an hp pavilion gaming desktop from amazon. After setting it up I started looking to upgrade the ram and ssd. The issue I'm having is that the serial number and product number that's on the white label beneath the pc case doesn't match the one I have. On the manufacturer box white label it has on the side it shows as TG01-2003w. Whether I insert the serial/product number or let Hp automatically detect the pc it comes out as TP01-2000a which a different than mine. The one I have (TG01-2003w) has a black case with the green led and the TP01-2000a has a silver case. Under the specification page for both pcs it seems they both have the same motherboard. Just want to make sure what specific model I got to perform the ssd and ram upgrades with no issues.

there is a bug, for the recognition of some computers

I suggest using Windows own System Information to see what you have.
In the search box type in MSINFO and click on the System Information app that appears.
Look for the Product Number(SKU) write that down and do a search with that as the keyword.
TP01-2000a means it is TG01-2000a. The A means it is an AMD platform. If it were Intel based there would be an i in place of the a.

Thanks for your response. That's one place where I got the serial number and product number as well. When I go to Hp support home page and insert either numbers (serial/product) where it says "Identify your product for manuals and specific product information" it takes me to the HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a page. When I search the product number on google it does show up the correct desktop HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2003w. It's just weird that under HP support page the desktop gets detected as a different one but searching on google it does come up the correct one. But thank you for the website for the ram and ssd upgrades.
