Pavilion 55000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hp Pavilion 55000 won't start.  When I press on button, it flashes slowly, but no sounds from inside and no display on the monitor.  My laptop has received 9 Windows 10 updates today.  I suspect that one of those may have locked up my desktop.  I can't do any diagnostics because I can't get the computer on.  Any suggestions?

Power button flashing slowly *usually* means that the unit is asleep. If it won't wake up you could try holing the power button down for 10-15secs until it powers off, or disconnect the ac adapter and take the battery out for 1 minute. (if possible). See if it will turn on then.

I had powered it off and back on several times already.  But it finally came on after I disconnected and reconnected the power as you suggested.  It immediately went into a half-hour long "diagnosis" and "repair" operation, then some Windows 10 updates.  But seems to be working again now.  Thanks for your help.
