Product: Pavillion 23XI
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra
I have a hp pavilion 23Cw and am going to purchase a XW, as long as it can be mounted on an arm/stand. I have seen photos of a fitting on the back, but am not sure where this is available, and if it is available for these models

You need the following (or similar) arm:
http://store.hp.com/us/en/mdp/accessories-88342--1/monitors-mounts---stands#!&tab=vao
And VESA mount adapters
Because your monitors do not have VESA mount standard.
Regards.
