Hi @Aryan177,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've lost the USB dongle for your HP Wireless Mouse X3000, unfortunately, you may face difficulties in using the mouse until you replace the dongle. The USB dongle is essential for establishing a wireless connection between the mouse and your computer.

Here are some steps you can take:

Check for Spare Dongle:

  • Sometimes, the wireless mouse package includes a spare dongle. Check the original packaging to see if there's an extra USB dongle.

Check for Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the replacement dongle is compatible with your HP Wireless Mouse X3000. HP support or product documentation can help you identify the correct dongle for your mouse.

Consider a New Mouse:

  • If obtaining a replacement dongle proves difficult or expensive, you might want to consider purchasing a new wireless mouse. Make sure to check the compatibility with your system before making a purchase.

Look for Universal Dongles:

  • Some third-party companies sell universal USB dongles that may work with multiple wireless mice. However, compatibility is not guaranteed, and it's better to use the original dongle if possible.

Bluetooth Connection:

  • If your HP Wireless Mouse X3000 supports Bluetooth, check if your computer has Bluetooth capabilities. You might be able to connect the mouse directly without a dongle if both devices support Bluetooth.

Always refer to the user manual or documentation that came with your HP Wireless Mouse X3000 for specific instructions and compatibility information.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
