@Frankensteinz,

Yes, your desktop's Baker motherboard (ssid: 8767) is compatible with Nvidia's 3000 graphics cards series: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-ENVY-TE01-1xxx/196219, BUT your standard proprietary HP 180 watt power supply does not provide nearly the wattage needed and doesn't have 8-pin PCIe power supply cable(s) to power the higher end 3000-series graphics cards.

The HP ENVY TE01-1xxx  Users in the aforementioned link go around this, most likely, by syncing a secondary power supply to power behemoth cards such as the RTX 3090, like I have done on my HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF upgrade project: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-PCs-Workstations-and-Point-of-Sale-Systems/Upgrading-HP-Elite..., but that requires quite a bit of effort/work, not to speak of the additional expenses involved.

So, there are two more powerful HP compatible PSUs available for your desktop: a 400 watt (L69242-800), and a 500 watt unit (L05757-800), but only the 500 watt PSU can provide the power needed for an RTX 3050 or RTX 3060 -max. The problem is that this HP power supply also doesn't have the 8-pin PCIe power supply cable to power said 3000-series graphics cards.  That would mean you'd have to work with power adapter cables on a proprietary HP power supply, which is far from ideal let alone recommended.

This is essentially what @old_geekster's response was to the same question: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Hardware-support/td-p/7897035.

Let me know what you would like to do.

Kind Regards,
