Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Please check the product number. I can't find your product.

HP uses three motherboard variants in this PC:

ColtC  (Link)

ColtP  (Link)

Colti    (Link)

HP does not list the maximum memory for two of the system boards. The Colti MB supports up to 8 Gb SODIMMs per memory socket. The C and P MB's may also support 8 GB modules but this info is not provided at the above HP Support sites.

Hi,

I forgot to mention that Crucial Memory is probably the best place to get memory that will work in your PC.

HP recommends Crucial Memory (Link) when HP does not have replacement memory for sale.

You can try HP Surfer (Link) first to see if memory can be purchased from HP.

Hi,

Thanks for the info.

HP is not listing this model. Here is the list HP is providing for Pavilion Mini Desktops:

Hi,

I don't know if your MB is limited to 2 GB modules per memory slot or if you can go to two 8 GB modules because I don't know what MB you have. I am hoping you have the Colti MB.

Again, HP is not listing the maximum memory capacity for two of the three MBs used in this product. This is an additional unanswerable question.

Hmm interesting

I bought it online

https://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-Pavilion-Mini-Desktop-300-240-Intel-Celeron-3205U-1-5GHz-2GB-32GB-Win10H...

Mabey it's a 230

Is there a way to confirm it on the PC?

BTW thanks for your help so far

Hi,

You're very welcome.

There should be a HP Support sticker on the chassis with the product name and product number.

HP Support Assistant should also ID the PC product number.

Type "msinfo" using Search or use Cortana to check the product number.

Hi JMF0308,

We are not making any progress on identifying your PC.

This is what B02AA#ABA yields (Link).
