HP Recommended

I want to usb boot up usb to upgrade the bios I don't see the usb. I upgrade the ram to 8gb I also put 256gb m.2 hard drive it didn't work so I took out the new hard drive and put back the old and it still didn't work there is not usb set up in bios it all blank and make no changes at all what can I do
