I have got a Hp Touchsmart 520 1030a and looking to upgrade the cpu and gpu. I just wanted to which I should buy and which cpu/gpu are compatible with this computer. This Pc has basically got a laptop like motherboard so i'm confused if i should buy the desktop one or the laptop one. Someone told me desktop cpu is different from laptop gpu and also this pc seems to have apu. JUST want to be sure what I should buy. It would be a great help if I could get a link to the product itself.

@Irson -- is this your computer: HP TouchSmart 520-1030 Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
That web-page lists compatible "upgrade" processors.
Are you an "online gamer" with a desktop computer that needs a high-end graphics adapter card, and a gaming monitor (with fast response time)? If not, then spending a lot of money on those components is not a good investment.
Or, are you using your All-In-One as an "appliance" for E-mail and web-surfing? That's a different pattern of usage than a "gaming rig".
HP calls your computer a "desktop", but obviously, the components inside the case are as tightly packed together as you would find inside a laptop computer.
Do you find the computer "slow", such that a faster CPU would be noticeable?
Do you still have the original disk-drive (spinning at 7200 RPM, with 1 TByte of storage)?
If you replaced it with a SSD (Solid State Device), your input/output would be much faster, and would result in a more-responsive computer.
My first recommendation is to upgrade to the SSD -- under $100, plus paying a computer technician.
Then, if you still need something faster, upgrade the CPU -- well over $100, plus paying a computer technician.
Only then consider a better video-adapter (which might not even be possible with your All-In-One).

Thank you for the answer and suggestion. I also think upgrading to ssd is a good way. I actually have got a 16gb(2x8gb) ram installed but i am not quite getting the type of performance that I got in my previous laptop which had an i3-3217u cpu 500gb ssd and integrated intel hd 4000. I'm not exactly experience lag enough to hinder the operation but I would like it to perform as it should. Of course more ram doesn't mean speed so I think it is due to the cpu. My main reason is that i am getting an occasional bleeding with the brush in clip studio so I think it is the graphic card issue. I tried almost all fixes and solutions related to clip studio but none of the seems to work so I think maybe the graphic card has something to do with it. So I want to change the gpu and cpu.
Also, I checked the link that you provided but apparently it is a different product because my one has got a amd a6 3600 apu with radeon hd 6450 and angelino 2-sb motherboard and the one in your link has a intel i3 2120 and IPISB-NK(LavacaSB).
