When using diskpart and the following commans for HP users who have problems like me when their USB suddenly is write protected an error appears "Diskpart has encountered an error. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. See the system event log for more information."
The USB is unusable. How do you disable write protection when you didnt enable it? The registry method either using HKEY/LOCAL/Control/StorageDevice method does not work either.
Are HP USBs cheap and not worth purchasing anymore? You get this brand in the hope of no problems, not mass of problems.
