I can’t change storage locations

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can’t change my storage locations and my versions is up to date I have connected external device and no luck 😞 only says to this pc only

Storage locations are usually setup in the software that is sending the data to storage.  If the data is being sent to an external device that is USB connected, that might be the problem as it could be disconnected at times.

Please explain the setup and circumstances.  It would be helpful to give the model number of the PC.
