*Disclaimer* I'm pretty new to computers so I'm unfamiliar with a lot of the terminology more tech savy people use.

Hi, I've been trying to install this GPU (Zotac GT 730) I purchased online into my PC, however I've been running into some issues. When I install the physical GPU into my PC and try booting my computer, my operating system won't boot, and it doesn't recieve any display. I've tried to intall the drivers for the GPU before installing but it won't let me install it without the GPU being plugged into the motherboard. Am I missing something? I'd really appreciate any help people can give me on this, thank you.

@DanielHutto, welcome to the forum.

I believe the reason that the video card is not working is, it is not compatible with the motherboard.  Newer video cards, such as the GT 730, require  UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012.  Your computer was released in June, 2012.  I suggest that you contact the manufacturer's Tech Support to see if they have a VBIOS update that will allow the card to work with a standard/Legacy BIOS.  Read the article in the link that I provided to learn about UEFI.  If you have problems with the terminology you can search for the definition.
