HP Slim Desktop PC S01-pF2000i (4M0H6AV)

I have an HP Slim Desktop S01-pF2000i.  I inserted a CD into the CD tray and now I can't open the CD tray.  What should I do now please?

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

I haven't used a CD/DVD device in about seven years.

 

Right click on the device in File Explorer. Select eject.

 

Or try the paperclip trick. There should be (I don't know if this option exists anymore) a small hole on the optical device front bezel. 

 

Stick a paper clip in this opening to open the drive tray.

 

You might have to remove the optical drive to retrieve the disk if the disk has fallen into the PC.

Thanks Bill.  A CD was stuck in the disc tray, but once I'd removed the cover I was able to remove the CD.  So your advice was great. Thanks very much
