When I try to update, updating program write that my BIOS version is newer than what I’m installing. How to fix that? If needed some more information, check shots of screen.

I remember I updated the BIOS once on last year...  how can the BIOS version on HP page is downgraded to F23?????

I have tried to download another 2 version BIOS, 8643 and 8653

The result is same, said my BIOS version is more update....

How can I have a BIOS more update than official HP website ????????????????????

Please advise...Many Thanks!!

Hello
as you said, your motherboard for ssid 8767
you can not use a bios from another ssid motherboard
the version is in f.40
therefore, leave it alone, the version you are trying to install is older, do not touch this bios anymore!

Hi,

My Motherboard SSID is 8767

I have updated the BIOS last  year, version is F.40

Now the version on HP official website for SSID 8767 is F.23

The date code of the BIOS is 2020,  HP removed the F.40 BIOS which avliable from last year on official website.

I would like to know why the BIOS on HP website have downgraded...

The BIOS on my system is more newer than the version provided in HP official website now.

This is wired.

The most updated BIOS for 8767 on website is F.23 only and date code is 2020

But I got the F.40 BIOS for 8767 from HP which date code is 2021 July  ( which I updated on last year )

Why HP removed F.40 BIOS from website?

If that BIOS have bug, how can I downgrade back to F.23???

As you can see, you cannot revert to this version
if you try, you may end up with a computer, which no longer works.
currently, is your computer working?

It is not obvious that this is it, sometimes there are inconsistencies, in the product pages, going back so far in a bios version, seems huge to me
now only hp is able to answer the why!
It is possible, as sometimes happens, that an update is withdrawn, but if the case, there is normally a new update in progress, it is better to wait, the latter if necessary.
it's up to you, but my advice remains the same, leave your bios alone, or you could lose everything!

Thanks for your reply.

Computer is working fine.   I just check any update from HP and found out the previous BIOS on website is withdrawn......

I do worry any serious bug in last BIOS supplied only...

I just tried to contact HP USA via chatting, the experience so bad...  My PC purchased on 2020, onsite service warranty expired but offsite warranty service should work until Aug 2022....

That guy said warranty expired, he can't help.....  asking BIOS information related to onsite service!? ..... Bravo...

Probably this will be my LAST HP purchase... no more HP again....

Don't worry about nothing
if there was a serious problem with this bios, you would certainly already have problems
