Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I don't know if the nvida quadro m4000 8gb gddr5 graphics card can work with my m01-f1014 widows desktop computer. I tried to use it and it won't show video,  but the fan on it spins it's getting power but not showing anything. I tried to boot into the bios but nothing happened, and it still works without the card.

Greetings @Duckaneer

Welcome to the HP Forum.

The M01-F1014 specifications, at this Site, indicate this PC ships with a HP 180 watt power supply. Check the PSU installed in your PC to verify it is a 180 watt part.

The Nvidia Quadro M4000, at this Site, requires a 300 watt power supply having one six pin power supply connector to power this graphics card.

This Nvidia card should work with PCs having the correct power supply and a UEFI BIOS.

I recommend upgrading to a HP (only) 400 watt part or a HP (only) 500 watt part if you can verify this Nvidia card works in a different, compatible, PC..

Either power supply upgrade should be available at eBay.

HP 500 watt PSU part number L05757-800

ok so i pugged in an external power bank to power the card separately from the computer instead of buying the whole bank but the card is acting like it's a ghost and not there, yet the HDMI cord shows video now i don't know what to do next.

Just for clarification I ran system diagnostics to try to find it and nothing, I also tried to look in device manager and still nothing

Greetings @Duckaneer

Do you know if the Nvidia card works in a different PC?

The only other thing I can think of trying is to disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy support in the BIOS before installing the Nvidia card.

Look in "Secure boot settings for desktop computers" at this HP Site.

Regards
