Hi,

The BIOS error code you see suggests the memory is bad or incompatible. Or you could have a bad memory channel.

You need 2133 MHz 4, 8, 16 GB ECC registered DIMMS.

Please refer to this (Link) for Z440 Maintenance and Service Guide.

Hi,

Thanks for your response, i have "xlr8 pny md16gk2d4320016axr" for my new ram and doesn't it complete all conditions ? It is said that it is compatible with 2133MHz frequency.

Hi @lapineige ,

Some HP motherboards are very picky with RAM.

Many folks have good luck using Crucial Memory (Link) in HP motherboards. You can search for your HP Product or let Crucial detect your system in the USA. Crucial will then recommend compatible RAM for your motherboard.

You would have to verify the auto-detect option exists at Crucial/Fr.
