In my pc desktop have 4  gb  ram  can i add another 8 gb so it come totally 12 gb OR can add another 4 gb which come totally 8 gb 

Which one is good for my desktop

It supports up to 32c GB of DDR4-2666 ram, you can use a combination of 4+8, but it is recommended to use pairs of memory to activate the double channel which doubles the memory transfer speed from 64 bit to 128 bit.

You can install a maximum of 32 GB of installed memory.

Best results are achieved when an identical pair of modules is installed and the original memory is removed.

 

Otherwise, the results may not be what you expect .

 

Installing 12 GB is not a good plan,  unless you have deep pockets and are immune to frustration.

 

8GB, 16GB and 32 GB are good  standard memory configurations.
