@Rikthepotter,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

How to Open the Battery Case on the HP 230 Wireless Keyboard:

The battery compartment on the HP 230 Wireless Keyboard can indeed be a bit tricky to open. Here are some steps that should help:

  1. Locate the Battery Cover – It’s on the underside of the keyboard, near the top edge.

  2. Find the Clip/Latch – You’ll see a small tab that can be pulled inward or upward.

  3. Press and Slide – While pressing the clip, slide the battery cover away from the keyboard. It may require firm pressure.

  4. If It Feels Stuck – Try using a little extra force while ensuring you're sliding it in the correct direction (not pulling straight up). Some users have found it easier to push down slightly while sliding the cover.

If the cover remains stuck, let me know, and we can explore other options. Hope this helps!

Kind Regards,
