Solved!

I have a Compaq Presario tower Model CQ5210F. Can I upgrade my WAN from 10/100 to 10/100/1000?

The existing NIC is from its motherboard, it is a bit old now but it has

  • Expansion Slots:
    • 1 PCI Express x16 slot for graphics card
    • 2 PCI Express x1 slots
    • 1 PCI slot

Therefore you can use PCIe NIC card which supports 10/100/1000. The following one is one example

There are many around. Please ask them to get proper driver.

Regards.
