Sooooo weird, I have ants living in my laptop.  does this device need to be opened to see why?  I don't want to go to the expense, but I literally see them coming out and going in my keys.  There is no food or water where I work, so has anyone else had this problem.  We do have an ant problem, the tiniest ants ever, in our home, we spray, had an exterminator spray, nothing works, they are worse at certain times of the year.  But for them to be living in my laptop is really creepy.  Is the only solution to kill them as I see them appear????? HELP!

@LJNEW9,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

The question is not 'why' they are there, but rather to get rid of them.  You'll need to open up your laptop and use compressed ("canned") air to blow out all the ants/dust/etc.

Find a 'how-to' instructional video on YouTube to open up your model laptop or ask a trusted family member/acquaintance to clean out your laptop for you.

You should NOT use any chemicals or sprays (insecticides) in or on your laptop under any circumstances.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
