@Nicky-Rae,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

It would be helpful to know what model PC we are talking about, and where the USB port is located.

Kind Regards,

Thank you for your reply,

The USB is located on the back of the PC.

Model is HP ENVY All-in-One - 32-a1002na

@Nicky-Rae,

I am looking into this right now, but I have to ask: is your AIO still covered by HP warranty?

@Nicky-Rae,

Is this how the rear view looks like of your AIO?  If so, which USB port is defective:

@Nicky-Rae,

This is an interesting question.  I could be mistaken, but I am almost certain that your wireless keyboard/mouse combo is either based on/or even manufactured by Logitech.  This means, as it worked for me once, that if you happen to have a Logitech -and, come to think of it, ANY USB dongle, it may very well work for you to reconnect your combo set.

What you could try is a so-called "Logitech universal wireless dongle" such as the one sold here: Amazon.com: Logitech USB Unifying Receiver, 2.4 GHz Wireless Technology, USB Plug Compatible with al..., and if it doesn't work, return it to get your money back.

Btw, did your dongle look like this: Hewlet Parkard HP RG-0638 USB Wireless Keyboard Mouse Receiver Dongle | eBay.

Kind Regards,

Hi
you have a very very small chance that it will work..
this question comes up often, and in practically all cases, nothing works..
you must have a keyboard mouse kit, compatible with the Logitech universal usb dongle..
there is a Hp version, and it doesn't always work either
In many cases the user has no choice, everything must be replaced

answer from an hp professional here

but you can buy the dongle, and if it does not work, you will be easy, buy a compatible keyboard mouse kit
