@SorestDiamond,

OK, the dimensions (LxWxH) of the MSI MAG A650BN (650-watt) are: 140 x 150 x 86 mm and the ESGAMING ES-700W (700-watt) are: 160 x 150 x 85mm.

Either power supply should fit in your case, still measure, though.

@SorestDiamond,

The SATA SSD model you provided is a 128GB Samsung MZ-7LN1280 SATA SSD.

In my opinion, you should go for at least a 500GB SATA SSD for a primary (boot) drive.

If this purchase pertains to replacing your current HDD (old school) boot drive, you know you'll have to clone it first?  -Do you know how to do that or do you need guidance -let me know.

Also, replacing a processor is relatively simple: you'll need a steady hand, some 99.9% electronics grade Isopropyl alcohol, and a quality thermal paste such as Arctic MX-4.  Here is a tongue-in-cheek instructional video how to replace your processor: How to Install a CPU. Btw, don't worry about an anti-static wrist band.

And also having some canned air would be helpful to blow out any dust/debris from the CPU socket.

Kind Regards,

Yes i have the i7 coming in tomorrow. . I am looking at the 1tb ssd or the 2tb ssd samsung 2.5" sata ssd.  But how do i make that my "primary boot drive"?

My only other question is the hdd. How do I replace that to a better one. How do I clone it? Do I need to buy that clone device from Amazon? Thanks for all your help

@SorestDiamond,

In order to clone your new SATA SSD drive, you'll need a SATA to USB adapter, such as this Amazon purchase example: Amazon.com: StarTech.com SATA to USB Cable - USB 3.0 to 2.5” SATA III Hard Drive Adapter - External ... and this Macrium Reflect Free cloning software "Download (64-bit)": Download Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - MajorGeeks.

You plug in your new drive to the SATA plug and plug the USB cable into your PC.

Follow this YouTube instructional video how to clone your old drive to your new drive: Clone and Replace your Old HDD with a SSD Using Macrium Free Software.

Once the cloning process has completed, power down your PC, remove from power, hold the power button for five seconds in order to release any residual power, remove the old HDD, and replace it with your new cloned SATA SSD.  Now, I don't know the exact drive mounting options within your PC, and perhaps you determine that the slimmer-sized (2.5") SSD can't be easily secured like the old larger-sized HDD.  No worries: use one (or two) zip-ties or Velcro tape to help secure your new SSD.

Kind Regards,
