Pavilion P7-1254

I need to update my BIOS in my P7-1254. It is running windows 10 and originally came with windows 7. HP doesn’t offer a Bios update for windows 10 on there support page. Although they do offer it for 7 and 8. Would I just use the w7 update since that is what my computer came with? I’m looking to do this to install a gtx 1050 in my pc so I can do light gaming.

Thank you for any replies

@AndrewAndersen8, welcome to the forum.

The BIOS updates are not normally operating system specific.  However, the update for the BIOS in your motherboard states it is for Win 7: Windows 7 (64-bit) |  Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Release date:  Oct 17, 2014

So then would I use the windows 7 update even though I'm on windows 10?

No, I don't believe that it will work.
