OK.
For the front panel connections check the following third-party forum thread.

The socket AMb is actually an AM3+
See the following diagram that is attached for the PSU connections.
Unfortunately, the HP provided diagram is not high enough resolution for me to see it easily.
There should be labels that say USB_1 and USB_2 on the edge of the motherboard below the RTC (BIOS) battery.

The motherboard isn't too outdated for the case.
The problem is that Rosewill. the manufacturer of the case, did not bother including the pinouts for the front panel in the manual.

Look for an AC97 or HDAudio label on the board for the motherboard's onboard audio. You can use either the AC97 or HD Connector for sound, depending on which one the motherboard has It probably has AC97 as it is an older specification mobo.
You won't be able to use the USB 3.0 connectors as the motherboard does not have that capability.
My preference has always been Corsair or CoolerMaster PC cases for my builds. Both of those brands have a higher standard of build quality and documentation.

If there are labels on the connectors, I may be able to help you, otherwise not.
The PSU connections I already pointed out in the image are required. The only other connectors that need to be used are for the SATA hard disk drive, Optical disk and SATA disk power connectors.
I will have to edit this in a bit while I look at your PC's specs again. Done! What I stated above is accurate. Are you using the original PSU? A six-pin connector could easily be for a video card. The video card I use in the desktop I am typing this on require a six-pin PCIe power connector.
For the future, always use your mobile phone to take photos while disassembling a PC , make a drawing of the connections with labels or use tape and write what they connect to. Even aircraft technicians have to do that do that.
Doing that reduces the confusion factor when reassembling the PC. 🙂

Did you make the four-pin CPU power connection to the motherboard as I showed in the image?
