Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to find the best, compatible, and most affordable graphics card for my pc so that I can enjoy playing computer games without them crashing or freezing on me during startup. I figured since my device is an HP desktop, someone with expertise would know what type of graphics card will work for my PC which currently has the INTEL (R) HD graphics card installed. So far I am looking at this NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 on Amazon. Will it work on my device?

Hi:

Yes, that model card will work fine in your PC.

Even the GT 1030 will.

I've had both in my 8200 Elite's.

The GT 730 has a 38W power draw and the GT 1030, a 30W power draw.

My initial order was the Gigabyte  GEFORCE GT 730. Its too big to fit in my box. I have to now return it smh.

Yes, you have to get the low profile model.

I didn't look at the link you had posted the other day because it didn't open for me.

Gigabyte GeForce GT 730 2GB Graphic Cards GV-N730D5-2GL : Electronics (amazon.com)

I recommend that you find a used but tested and working GT 730 low profile graphics card on eBay.

They will be much less expensive than buying new old stock.

If you buy a used one, make sure that you get one that has the low profile mounting bracket as well.

The ones with the standard mounting bracket won't fit.  The bracket will be too long.

Thank you sir, for your advice. I am going to return this device now and order this low profile one.

Hi, I have another question.

I was able to install the graphics card, but the latch or hook at the end of the slot broke off when I was  trying to take the card back out. Will this have an effect on the graphics card. I checked to see if it would stay in by rotating the  computer, its secured in, but will the little broken piece have an effect on the graphics card? My computer has read the graphics card without a problem.
