I purchased a used HP Z820 Desktop computer and want to install a wireless wifi card.  What card can be installed?

Hi Jess8222,

Personally, I would recommend buying a USB wifi dongle and plugging it into one of the rear USB ports. Stick with a quality brand such as Netgear, TP-Link,etc., as they are more likely have a web support page, and up-to-date drivers. I would also try and get one with a remote antenna, as this will ensure the best possible wifi signal strength.

If you would still rather install a wifi PCI card, then the same guidelines should be followed, e.g. stick with a known quality brand, and try and get one with a remote antenna.

Brian, I never realized a USB "Dongle" was available.  Thanks to your reply, I've just now ordered a TP-Link unit and pray it works.  Thanks ever so much!
