was notified that I had an issue with my hardrive, ran the test and it failed.  the failure code is:

M4HWTV-9A4A0A-GXPS3F-60UB13

Hi:

 

The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, means the hard drive needs to be replaced and the operating system reinstalled.

 

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

You may be able to reinstall W10 for free by using the cloud recovery client utility to create a bootable recovery drive.

When you enter the product number of your PC where indicated, immediately press the Enter key or you will get an invalid product code error if you click off that window.

 

If your PC is not supported by the cloud recovery utility, you can clean install W10 for free by making a bootable USB W10 installation flash drive using the media creation tool at the link below...

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.
