Can i upgrade the HDD to a SSD as the PC is getting slower by the day ?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, you can use the SSD instead of the HDD. But the form factor(physical size and shape) should match and fit the PC.

Refer to this document for replacing the Hard drive.
