HP 8200 Elite SFF: I upgraded from one 4GB 10600U to four 4GB 12800U. Computer will not boot up and P/S fan runs on high. Is there a BIOS setting I need to change? From what I've read, it should be compatible.
Thanks,
Carl

Hi, Carl:
The PC may not like the memory you installed and there was no point in installing DDR3-1600 MHz memory since no HP 8200 Elite can run the memory any faster than 1333 MHz.
But a compatible DDR3-1600 MHz memory chip should have worked, I would think.
I have two HP 8200 Elite CMT's running W11 Pro 24H2, SATA SSD's and 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) of DDR3-10600 memory.
Can you post the specs of the memory you bought?
This is the 4 GB memory I had in one of my 8200 Elite CMT's until I decided to max it out.
