I don't know anything about computer parts. I've managed to upgrade the storage and RAM, that was easy enough. But none of this stuff with graphics cards make any sense. Please help.

@immortalseaturt,

Outstanding!

So, you got a lower-end graphics card (RX 6400) -meaning, good enough for basic 1080p gaming at lower settings but not suitable for high-end gaming or demanding applications, and a 350-watt power supply with one 6+2-pin PCIe power cable -see pic.  Good, we are getting somewhere!

All right, with your 350-watt power supply, you could upgrade your graphics card all the way up to a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4060, powered by a single 8-pin (6+2) PCIe power cable, such as this purchase example via Amazon: Amazon.com: ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 4060 EVO OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 (PCIe 4.0, 8GB GDDR6, DLSS 3, HDMI ....  You'll be pleasantly surprised how this card compares to your RX 6400!

Please note: a graphics card upgrade is budget driven: if you want a less expensive card but still want a substantial graphics performance boost over your RX 6400, consider the GTX 1660 Super, such as this Amazon purchase example: Amazon.com: Asus TUF Gaming GeForce GTX 1660 Super Overclocked 6GB Edition HDMI DP DVI Gaming Graphi....

If your budget is higher than the aforementioned GPU upgrades, you could upgrade your power supply (the 500-watt PSU as mentioned), and then you could pick a smaller-sized RTX 4060 Ti, such as this model.

Kind Regards,

@immortalseaturt,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

I am happy to assist you.

Please verify what power supply (part number) and what graphics card you got.

Please type in System Information in your Windows search bar, click on the System Information app, and look to the right of "BaseBoard Product" and tell me what alphanumerical code you got.

Kind Regards,

The baseboard product is 89D8. I believe I have the integrated graphics, not a designated graphics card. And I'm sorry, I have no idea what my power supply part number is.

@immortalseaturt,

Reason why I asked what graphics card you got installed in your PC as fitted with an Erica8 motherboard (SSID: 89D8), is that all the Victus BY HP 15L GAMING DESKTOP TG02-0xxx models as listed here, have one or another graphics card installed, such as an RX 6400, RTX 3050, RTX 3060, etc.

Your PC either has a 350-watt power supply installed (p/n: M49611-001), or a 500-watt power supply (p/n: L89233-001).

Let's try this: remove your side panel, and look inside your case:

Tell me if you got a graphics card installed in the red square.  As a matter of fact, please type in device manager in your Windows search bar, and click on the Device Manager app.  Please click on the "Display adapters", and it will tell you what graphics devices (integrated &/or discrete) you got:

The part number of your power supply as can be read on the PSU's label in the blue square.

Please let me know what you have.

Kind Regards,

The display adapter says RX 6400. The number on the PSU says m15695-001. 350W.
