Hi @amyer47 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To determine the compatible RAM upgrades for your HP Ryzen 5 M01 desktop computer, you'll need to consider a few factors. Here are the general steps you can follow:

Check your computer's manual: The first and most reliable source of information is your computer's manual. It should provide details on the type of RAM supported, maximum capacity, and the number of memory slots.

Check the motherboard specifications: If you can't find the information in the manual, check the specifications of the motherboard in your HP Ryzen 5 M01. You can usually find this information on the HP website or in the documentation that came with your computer.

Use system information tools: You can use system information tools like CPU-Z or find details about your current RAM. These tools can provide information on the type of RAM, its speed, and the number of memory slots on your motherboard. This information can help you choose compatible upgrades.

Consider DDR4 RAM: Ryzen processors, including the Ryzen 5 series, typically use DDR4 RAM. Ensure that the RAM you are considering is DDR4, as this is the most common type for modern systems.

Check speed and capacity: Verify the maximum RAM speed and capacity supported by your motherboard. Also, check if there are any restrictions on the number of RAM modules you can install.

Choose reputable brands: Stick to well-known and reputable RAM manufacturers. Popular brands include Corsair, Kingston, G.Skill, Crucial, and others. Choosing a reliable brand can ensure better compatibility and performance.

Match existing RAM specifications: If you plan to add more RAM to your existing modules, try to match the specifications of your current RAM (speed, capacity, and timings) for optimal compatibility.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
