I have this motherboard: HP Desktop PCs - motherboard specifications, Tampa2 | HP® Customer Support
I have this CPU: Intel Core i5-8400
I want to upgrade it to the i7. The HP automated support suggests this:
Intel Core i7-8700K (Coffeelake) 3.7 GHz, 6 Cores 95 W
I cannot locate the bottom one in the list that runs at 3.7Ghz .I can find one that runs at 3.2Ghz. Will that be OK to use?
Or should I go for the top one in the list which is 95W (30W more than my current CPU)?
If so, how do I know if my PSU will handle it?
Any help would be appreciated.
