I want to upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 7. Will the Erica motherboard on my M01-F0033w allow this?

@hisself,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your HP Desktop - M01-F0033w (6YR55AA) as per: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-desktop-pc-m01-f0000a/38096274/model/35801251/document/c0669..., is fitted with the Erica motherboard with SSID: 8643.

To answer your question sans any reservations: yes, your desktop is compatible with the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor.

Mind you, this processor does not have integrated graphics, you will need a separate graphics card.

Looking at actual real-world HP Desktop M01-F0xxx benchmarks -specifically fitted with your Erica (SSID: 8643) motherboard, here are two examples to show you without a shadow of a doubt that you can upgrade your gaming rig with a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 CPU: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/51665690 and: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/50372607.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
