Hi,
In June I want to upgrade my HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0450nd's GPU, I got the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 in mind. I tried for hours to find the information online, without luck.
So my question is if this GPU will fit in my relatively small PC. A bonus question is that the GPU needs 550 watts, my PC has 500. I read on a couple of forums that this should work no problem, I want to be sure.
Thanks in advance for helping me out.

take a tape measure to your existing video card and measure the length the width doesn't really matter as all consumer 3060's are dual slot
OEM's, are free to use whatever cooling solution they wish to apply, the card's circuit board that has the gpu/memory will almost always be based on the nvidia reference (retail) board
now go to the nvidia site and click on the specs for your rtx3060 card, (and like i said the 2060 super)
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/30-series/rtx-3060-3060ti/
read the page, it shows the card wattage, length, and power connectors, and wattage draw

the HP posted "quickspecs" for you model system shows that it could be ordered with a
NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060 Super™ (8 GB GDDR6 dedicated) card
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06463130
please visit the nvidia website (or google RTX 3060 wattage and RTX 2060 Super wattage and compare if they are within 10 watts of each other your good power wise
now visit the nvidia website (or google card dimensions) and again compare and you will have your answer
note that you may have to use a adapter for the cards power connectors, again look at pictures of the card(s) or read the nvidia specs

Everything that you have suggested, I already tried, I even used the same search term ''dimensions''. But the results that I get are graphic cards that look nothing like the graphic card that I have. Most of them are dual or triple fan cards, I have a single fan.
I tried Nvidia's site, but again the graphic cards look nothing like the ones I have.
The wattage adaptor I haven't checked yet but I am going to, thanks.

'' the width doesn't really matter as all consumer 3060's are dual slot'''This is very helpful because it was the width I was worried about, the length is no problem I have enough room for it. Thank you so much, this answers my questions.
I did some more googling and found out that a 500 watt system can work but it won't be optimal, you won't be able to overclock it, which is what I want to do. So I am just going to buy a new power supply.
Thank you very much for your advies and helpful comment. I am definitely going to buy the 3060.
Have a nice day.
