Hello, I want to upgrade ram of my CPU, here's the model number: HP Pavilion Desktop - 510-p051in

currently, it has 8 gm ram, I want to upgrade it to 16 GB ram.

Can you tell me which 8gb specific ram should I purchase?

Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer.  Look at the section titled "Memory/Memory upgrade information" for the type of memory that is compatible.  The best thing to do is use CPU-Z to check the manufacturer and timings of the memory.  You will find this information in the tab titled "SPD".  It is important to  match the memory if at all possible.  Sometimes different brands of memory are not compatible.  If you can't find the exact match, you should contact one of the memory manufacturers to see if their memory will work  Otherwise, you will have to remove the 8 GB's that came with the computer and add 16 GB.
