HP Desktop PC M01-F1000a (2W898AV)

Would like to upgrade the PSU in my M01-F1224 desktop.  Is it safe to assume the Erica motherboard power requirements are the same for the Ryzen 5 3500 and 4600G (the one installed in my PC).  Any new suggestions?

Hi @WeiKwong,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

I suggest that you contact HP Service Center in your location from this weblink: https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/service-center
Note: Select your country from the dropdown,  enter the city or postal code, select the product, change the radius, and click on search to locate the nearest HP Service center near your location.

Hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

@WeiKwong,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Actually, I do have some suggestions for you.

Your HP Desktop PC M01-F1000a (2W898AV) as fitted with an Erica5 motherboard (SSID: 87D7), according to:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model..., has two power supply upgrade options: a 400-watt PSU with p/n: L04618-800 which has one 6+2-pin PCIe power cable, and a 500-watt PSU with p/n: L05757-800 which has one 6+2-pin PCIe and one 6-pin PCIe power cables.

These power supplies are available via various eCommerce sites, you want to try AliExpress, etc.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

@WeiKwong,

And yes, both processors have the same 65-watt TDP, no worries there.
