Hi @fdroosevelt
Your MB supports AM4 processors. It is not possible to install an AM5 CPU in an AM4 socket.
Additional AM4 CPU support in addition to the factory BIOS CPU support may have to added with a BIOS update. Very unusual to see this happen (BIOS updates providing additional CPU support) with HP consumer MBs.
You could try a 5600X. No guarantee it will be detected by the MB.
Can't find any BIOS updates for your specific HP PC.
I had to update the BIOS on a MSI B550 MB to install a 5900X CPU.
Opinions or troubleshooting suggestions in this response are provided independently. I am not employed by HP, Inc. or the HP Forum.

Hi @fdroosevelt
My pleasure.
You have the Erica6 MB. (MB SSID 8906). The factory BIOS lists support for: 5300G. 5600G, and 5700G.
Found a BIOS update for MB SSID 8906 Here. I don't see any reference to adding additional CPU support in the "Fixes" section. This would suggest swapping in any unsupported CPU after updating the BIOS may result in a POST failure with an "unsupported CPU" error message.
Download sp.146775. Double click on this file to start the BIOS update.
Wait until the update is done. Don't shut down the PC during this process. Any loss of power during this update will probably corrupt the BIOS and "brick" the PC.
