Hello, I would like to upgrade my systems processor, memory, and graphics card, but I am finding myself lost on figuring out what is the best I can get and still remain compatible with my system since I know it is a couple years old. I am essentially trying to max it out with the current motherboard. My current memory is 16GB, card is GTX 1080TI, processor is Intel Core i7-8700K, and I believe the motherboard is TAMPA2.
I am also willing to also upgrade cooling, power supply etc., if need be, I think the only thing I can't replace is the motherboard.
Thank you in advance.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Your OMEN by HP 880-130 Desktop PC (2HJ63AA) as stated is fitted with an HP Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB Graphics Card (HP p/n: 929552-001), which is already a most capable, high-end gaming graphics card. Good enough to play virtually any game at 1440p at Ultra Graphics settings.
What concerns me a little bit is that this GPU should have a minimum power supply of 600 watt, whereas according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-880-100-desktop-pc-series/18695893/model/18865688/do..., your desktop has a 500 watt PSU (HP p/n: 918591-800).
However, your PC is fitted with a Tampa2 motherboard which is ATX-power enabled, meaning that you can swap your existing underpowered (in my opinion) PSU with any industry standard ATX power supply, as long as you carefully measure its dimensions (LxWxH) to make sure it will physically fit inside your case.
Your processor. Again, the Intel Core i7-8700K is high-end and should have little trouble playing 99.8% of all games available. Upgradeability appears to be unlikely, please see: https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/Intel/Core_i7/i7-8700K.html, but as I said, why should you anyway.
Link: CPU-Upgrade: Intel Core i7-8700K CPU
So, my honest appraisal: if you like, upgrade your RAM to 4 x 8GB or 2 x16 GB (32 GB is all you need). Your motherboard supports up to 2400 MHz DDR4 PC4-19200 RAM. Preferably all RAM should be same make & part number.
Second, replace your PSU. Replace with at least a 650 watt unit, such as Corsair, AresGame, etc.
Thirdly, if you haven't done so already, install an M.2 PCIe NVMe Gen3 SSD and make that your primary (boot) drive.

Thank you very much. This is very helpful. What do I do with my current SSD Drive? I believe this PC only takes one SSD
Also, someone is giving me a newer graphic card, I believe is a 3090TI, would you advise against this upgrade? Also sounds like I would need to update the PSU regardless.

You keep your SATA 2.5 inch SSD drive: the M.2 PCIe NVMe 2280 Gen3 SSD is added to your system here:
Clone your SATA SSD to your M.2 PCIe NVMe 2280 Gen3 SSD using a freeware cloning program such as Macrium Reflect Free which you can get here ("Download Free"): https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.
You need this temporary USB adapter tool to clone your M.2 NVMe SSD: https://www.amazon.com/ANYOYO-Adapter-Bridge-Converter-Support/dp/B09FXRZ4CF/ref=sr_1_5?crid=6GAV713....
Install your M.2 NVMe SSD into this USB to M.2 NVMe adapter and plug it into your desktop.
Start the Macrium cloning software or Samsung's "Magician Software for Consumer SSD" if you happen to choose a Samsung SSD (such as the Samsung 980 Pro, 970 EVO Plus, etc.). Once the cloning process has completed successfully -and there is plenty of informational links online how to get this done without too many headaches, turn your desktop off.
Once your desktop is powered down, remove the USB to M.2 NVMe SSD adapter, remove the M.2 NVMe SSD, and install it on your motherboard. You will have to access BIOS immediately thereafter to change your boot drive sequence to the newly installed M.2 NVMe SSD.
Once you determined that your M.2 NVMe SSD is fully operational, bootable, and has all the files transferred form your SATA SSD, wipe your SATA SSD clean, as it will now be your secondary drive.
Any question, please don't hesitate to reach out.

And lest I forget, if an RTX 3090 Ti were to actually fit inside your desktop, you will need at a minimum an 850 watt power supply. When you look around Amazon, Newegg, etc., you will have to research the physical dimensions of such power supplies to make sure they would fit inside your case.
If you are going forward with all of this, at some point you probably want to consider to upgrade your cooling fans too. But that is for another discussion if you don't mind.

hi
I answer because I have the same motherboard
and a doubt about what the read here
@NonSequitur777 you are talking about a sata ssd, and installing an m2 ssd if I understood correctly
and @DMexAztec even indicates
" What do I do with my current SSD Drive? I believe this PC only takes one SSD"
so so well the model quoted
512 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 Solid State
- Size: 512 GB
- Interface: M.2
- Type: TLC Solid State
- One M.2 socket 1, key A wifi
- One M.2 socket 3, key M ssd
there is already probably a 512 gb M2 ssd, I have the 256 gb version
even if I think it's not really worth it either

I beg your pardon / Je vous demande pardon my friend, but that's not what I see at all:
Besides, NO OMEN by HP 880-1xx that I could locate via UserBenchMark [dot] com is fitted with an Intel i7-9700K. That is, well, remarkable, because if it is indeed the case that Intel i7-9700K's were to be compatible, you betcha one of these Super Users would have come out of the woodwork by now...

Etc.
Moving on:
[EDIT:] And let's talk about the Intel Z370 chipset compatibility: https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(chipsets)/Z370.html. I don't see the i7-9700K here.
Look, if I am somehow reading this incorrectly, please help me to see the light.

sorry @NonSequitur777
but don't just consider simple Benchmarks
If I tell you that I have the same motherboard, and crossed a good number of subjects when I was on the French forum, I have already informed myself somewhat
I gave the HP document of this model here, even if sometimes there can be errors here not the case, possibly just a bios update could be required!
motherboard specifications, Tampa2
