HP Pavilion HPE h8-1360t
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

An internal fan/motor has started making a loud noise, like a bad bearing.  I'm having trouble identifying the part (name, part number)

I've attached a picture.  It's the large square fan box attached to the motherboard (lower right).

Also, can anyone tell me where I can obtain a new one?

(I've gone over HP Support and can't find anything related to it)

Thanks.

Hi

The pic is not yet available.

It would be a CPU fan if it is attached to the motherboard.

You would have to measure the fan dimensions (convert between inches and millimeters), check the mounting points, and then shop online for a replacement fan.

You could check HP Part Surfer for a replacement.

Thanks for the help.

It wasn't a CPU fan (I don't think), but your link led me to another site that had pictures - it's a Heat Sink Fan Assembly.

Knowing the part, I'm now able proceed.

Appreciate you help.
