Hey there..
I picked up several of these little HP systems during the height of the chip shortage and found them to be very useful and fun computers. This model seems odd, and I can't find any specific data on available upgrades. Specifically, can drop in a Ryzen 7 5700g, upgrading from the Ryzen 5 5600g.
The motherboard is an erica3_erica5 rev a, and everything associated with that model is Ryzen 3000 or 4000. There's no mention of the Ryzen 5000 line at all. But that's what it came with, and that's what I'm running??
Anyway, I'd love to show how these are far more useful and upgradeable than given credit for, I just need to know the max CPU spec before I go swapping parts blindly.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rick

hi
sorry I don't quite understand what you mean, but I have already answered here, for this type of motherboard
there are several versions, and some are indicated compatible with certain processors!
Sometimes it would be possible that a processor not mentioned can work!

Ok so.. a "try it and see... sometimes a non-listed processor may work" is not what I call "answered." I have several of these with the Erica 3 mb, which tops out with the Ryzen 7 3700. There is a clear motherboard spec showing what CPUs are supported. That's what I'm looking for. Where is the clear motherboard spec for this board that clearly shows what HP says are approved processors? Nothing I've found shows the 5600g even supported, yet that's what it shipped with.
When it comes to this stuff, I want hard documentation to follow, not a guess, especially if I'm going to film using this as an example of things. If it doesn't exist and this was a stop-gap flash in the pan model, that's fine. Just say so, and I'll stop looking.
Cheers
Rick

sorry, as I said, I have already answered several times here, for this type of request
in the links that I have indicated there are hp references for most models of this type
in your message you said
"The motherboard is an erica3_erica5 rev a, and everything associated with that model is Ryzen 3000 or 4000.
you will therefore find these models here, and nothing more!
I don't understand what you are asking sorry
