I can't load Windows 10, version 1903 update because I don't have the right version of the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) driver software.
I screwed up.
I first went to the Intel site and downloaded the latest and greatest RST driver s/w. Installed this s/w. Thought this was the best.
THEN I was downloading several updates on the HP Support Assistant site and one of them turned out to be Intel RST driver update. When I got to this, got the message that this is an older update from the one you currently have installed do you want to proceed. Like an idiot I said no and the update line was deleted.
Now I have the newest release of the RST driver BUT clearly one that does not work with HP Envoy 750-514 and I can't therefore download Windows 10 update 1903!
QUESTION: how do I get back to the OLDER version of the (HP compatible actually works) Intel RST driver that I stupidly dismissed??

Hi:
I have seen several posts on the forum which indicate that doing this will allow you to update to v1903...
Go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers, find the iaStorA.sys driver and rename it to iaStorA_old.sys
As long as the IRST current driver is before version 15.1.0.1002 and after 15.5.2.1053, you should be fine.

Paul
THANK YOU so much for your suggestion.
I was just about to try it, when I noticed that there was a new INTEL RST driver update in my HP Support Assistant page ( the morning after I posted my problem!!) Coincidence OR one of the Gods at HP Support actually looks at this forum and responds? Who knows.
Anyways I downloaded this new driver, and voila, I was able then to install the Windows 1903 update.
THANK YOU Paul and thank you HP Support . Much appreciated
