Greetings balthezar14
Welcome to the forum.
I don't work for HP.
HP does not provide diagrams showing front panel connections on the motherboard.
Sometimes HP does not use industry standard (IS) FP connections.
The following image shows IS FP_connections on a typical MB.
You may have a problem with the new case if HP has modified the front panel connections.

Hi
OEM system builders (HP, Dell, Lenovo, Apple) don't create PCs that are easily upgradable using third party system components. The PCs are built to provide good performance using the components the OEM has selected during the design phase. The OEMs sometimes use proprietary designs that usually cause major upgrade headaches when swapping in different components.
Build your own system using Industry Standard components if you like to mod the system. This is what I do.
No info from HP on the correct MB pinouts for the MB F_P connections and HP using a possible non- standard config means you may not be able to use the new case.
LED connections must be connected to the correct (+) and (-) pins. The power on switch does not have this requirement.
Take the case connections for one option such as the power on switch. Try all pin combos on the MB only where the F_P connections exist.
Do this with the system off and disconnected from AC power. Then connect to AC power. Try to start the system. Maybe you will find the correct connections. Rinse and repeat for connections to the HDD activity LED and system power LED.
Connecting to incorrect pins on the MB will not cause damage provided you are connecting to the MB F_P connectors. It just won't work if you are connecting to the wrong MB pins.
Maybe you can use the process of elimination to get the correct connections so you can use the new case.
