@Caps2,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

In order to assist you, it would be helpful to know what model desktop you got, and the wattage of your power supply.

Kind Regards,

@Caps2,

Thank you.  If you want to stick with your 310-watt power supply, you got a number of options such as (from lower to higher performance):

GTX 1050 Ti 4GB (TDP: 75-watt), such as this model: Amazon.com: ASUS Geforce GTX 1050Ti 4GB ROG Strix OC Edition HDMI 2.0 DP 1.4 Gaming Graphics Card (S.... No PCIe power cable needed.

RX 6400 4GB (TDP: 53-watt), such as this model: Amazon.com: XFX Speedster SWFT105 Radeon RX 6400 Gaming Graphics Card with 4GB GDDR6, AMD RDNA 2 RX-.... No PCIe power cable needed.

ARC A380 6GB (TDP: 75-watt), such as this model: Amazon.com: Sparkle Intel Arc A380 ELF, 6GB GDDR6, Single Fan, SA380E-6G : Electronics. No PCIe power cable needed.

GTX 1650 4GB (TDP: 75-watt), such as this model: Amazon.com: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650 D6 OC 4G Graphics Card, 170mm Compact Size, 4GB 128-Bit GDDR6,.... No PCIe power cable needed.

@Caps2,

Based on HP PartSurfer, your desktop is fitted with a 310-watt power supply with p/n: L10875-800 "Power Supply - GNRC PSU 310W SFF Entl18 FR Gold" -please verify.

Point is that according to this link, you could upgrade your desktop with a 400-watt power supply with p/n: L04618-800 or a 500-watt power supply with p/n: L05757-800.

You can purchase these power supplies online, such as via eBay.

With a power supply upgrade, you could aim (much) higher when it comes to graphics card options/performance.

@Caps2,

You're welcome.

An incremental approach is a good one.
