Hi @fdc0848,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Yes, you can increase the storage capacity of your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2003w by adding both a 3.5-inch and a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive.

Steps to Add Storage:

Preparation:

  • Turn off the computer and unplug all cables.
  • Ensure to discharge any static electricity by touching a grounded metal object.

Opening the Desktop:

  • Remove the access panel by loosening the thumbscrew on the rear of the computer, sliding the panel back, and lifting it off.

Installing a 3.5-inch SATA Hard Drive:

  • Locate the 3.5-inch drive bay.
  • Mount the 3.5-inch hard drive into its designated bay using the appropriate guide screws for secure installation.
  • Connect the SATA power and data cables to the 3.5-inch hard drive.

Installing a 2.5-inch SATA Hard Drive:

  • Identify the 2.5-inch drive bay.
  • Use an adapter bracket if needed to fit the 2.5-inch drive into a 3.5-inch bay.
  • Secure the 2.5-inch hard drive with the provided screws.
  • Attach the SATA power and data cables to the 2.5-inch hard drive.

Reassembly:

  • Replace the access panel by reversing the steps used to remove it.
  • Reconnect all cables and power on the computer.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
