Hi. I am trying to install a WD 6TB drive in a Z800 workstation. The drive was first set to MBR, but then converted to GPT (when it failed to show more than 2tb and I read about the MBR limit). Disk management did the conversion instantly. However, the disk still shows as 2tb, not even the unallocated space behind it.
Bios is the latest version available for Z800, and hardware diags show no errors anywhere. The BIOS does not show many options dealing with HDDs (and the few that are there do not seem to concern this issue in any way)
So how do I get this drive to work and show full capacity?
Many thanks

I have three 6TB in mine and they show the full space amount. Is this your C drive or an extra drive, either way you will have to format the HDD again and select GPT. You may have lost your unallocated space as it was originally set to MBR now there are several ways to do this.
ONE:
If it is your OS drive you can reinstall windows and format the disk then before installing windows.
Two:
If it is an extra drive you can use a program like EaseUS Partition Master and format the HDD or use it to expand the missing unallocated space if it is already GPT.
