I have a HP EliteDesk 705 65W G4 Desktop Mini (B350) and have bought CPU Ryzen 7 5700G, when I install it the computer does not start, I have run all the updates HP and Win11 and AMD have on their sites but it still does not work. Will my HP work with my new CPU? The HP page in the bios does not look like the descriptions, nor does it have the same options. Help me please.

Hi:

According to the HP Quickspecs, at the link below, page 9, the only supported Ryzen processors are these:

HP EliteDesk 705 G4 Desktop Mini Business PC

AMD® Ryzen™ 3 PRO 2200G

AMD® Ryzen™ 5 PRO 2400G

That would explain why the Ryzen 7 5700G processor you installed doesn't work.

I don't want to know what I can read myself, I want to know the easiest way to solve the problem.

Is it to buy a motherboard from another manufacturer?

Anyone know of a motherboard that fits in the Elitedesk 705 mini that can handle the Ryzen 7 5700g.

I know there are more people who want to solve the same problem.
