Hi,
I recently got the HP Envy X360 15m-BP112DX Notebook and it is equipped with a 1TB Hard Drive. I have seen that other models of this same Notebook come with SSD options. I would like to know if there is a free SSD slot in my Notebook where I can install a new SSD. If yes, can you please specify the details of the compatible SSDs(NVME Preferred).
if the above is not possible could i atleast repace my hdd with and 2.5 sata ssd

Your motherboard has a slot for an m.2 "NVME" drive in addition to the 1tb hard drive.
I found a picture of the motherboard here
there is only one slot for m.2
Pages 34 and 35 of the users manual list the possible drives (NVME) that can be used
Those "2280" would fit into the slot on the left of the above picture.
According to above table, only the top two devices for your laptop. Possibly (I am guessing) the other will work but may not run at PCIe 3 speed.
I assume your system has a 256gb m.2 for the "C" drive and the 1TB is the D
Possibly a larger m.2 of 1tb or 2tb might also work. Make sure it has a 512 block size and not 4096 and that you can return it if it does not work.
