HP Omen 880-160se
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I’m trying to install a second hard drive into my HP Omen 880-160se.  I need to install a second sata 3 cable and connect it to the motherboard.  I noticed the first cable seems to connect underneath the graphics card.  Any resource for helping to install the sata cable?  I already have the hard drive (2.5 inch) placed into a bracket.  It looks like I need to remove the graphics card in order to be able to install another sata cable.

hi

the two compartments on the top are not full?
If you have at least one free, it is very easy to put the hdd there.
You can see the sata connectors here

Which are free, can you have a more accessible connector if this is your problem?
but indeed, sometimes, for better access, you have to remove a component, not very practical

Thanks.  The spot above was empty so it was easy to put the HDD drive there.  I followed the sata cable by hand and located where on the motherboard it connected to.  I connected the second sata cable to the port next to it.
