HP ENVY Desktop - 750-624
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a new HP ENVY Desktop - 750-624 http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-envy-desktop-750-624. Can I install the following as a second hard drive?

 

Seagate Desktop SSHD 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gbps 64MB Cache 8GB SSD 3.5-inch Internal Hybrid Hard

Thanks for providing a link to the specifications.

 

The HP specs state a 2.5 inch drive bay is available for expansion. The 3.5 inch drive bay is occupied by the 1TB 7200 rpm HDD.

 

So it would appear you cannot install an additional 3.5 inch HDD.

 

You can install a 2.5 inch 1TB SSD.

 

Copy the operating system to this drive.

 

Install this new SSD on SATA0 as the boot drive. You want an SSD as the operating system drive as it will greatly enhance system performance.

 

Now use the 1TB HDD on SATA1 for storage.
